Wisdom, deep learning. Sophos can also mean a kind of sound judgment, including practical wisdom.

Héctor Gonzalez was born in Valladolid, Spain, in 1978. He studied applied arts, and audiovisual communication, influenced by the Avant-Garde cinematographic aesthetics of the beginning of the XX century. At a later stage, he completed a Master in Media Art and Image Sciences, in an academic approach that has influenced his artistic production. His broad theoretical knowledge and acquaintance of the digital world contribute to the high quality (both visual and concept level) of his works.
Héctor’s projects explore the intersections between technology, science, and humanities, experimenting with different genres like Bio Art, AI Art, and Video Art.
EUDAIMONIA, PSYCHE, SOPHOS, PHILOI are part of the project Computational Æsthetics
Computational Æsthetics looks into new ways of creating GPU optimized models not only suitable for creating images but converting other human ideas into expressive forms – more ‘universal’ than ‘classic’ – that are substantiated with philosophical and ontological values. The artist reflects on the AI-generated images and their latent meanings, visualizing different philosophical concepts, reflecting on the theory of Forms1 and their significances and significants.
Computational Æsthetic is about the creation of philosophical forms that have no clear understanding of what soul means yet but at the same time, they help humans find it. They enhance experiences when they are being used by humans to understand themselves.
