Extremely interesting work, reflecting the artist’s idea of perpetual motion machine. This abstract image shows humanoids walking on what looks like a tape that turns endlessly around. Artist creates the impression that the humanoids with their movement drive the rotation of the tape, creating an ever-moving machine. One has the impression, however, that although it is supposed to be a reflection of a perpetuum mobile, the work is full of glitch and errors, which theoretically should not be there.
The artist takes up a topic from hundreds of years ago and adapts it to contemporary virtual reality. Thus, it creates an original concept about the digital world, because there, unlike the physical world, theoretically everything is possible.
painter / digital artist
In 1994 he obtained a BA in Painting from the University of Barcelona. In the years 2000-2009 he was a member of the Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc. After over forty individual and collective exhibitions and several international awards, in 2009 and to date, he works in his studio in the center of Barcelona, where he continues his painting career and carries out commissioned works. Currently, he is particularly interested in the digital world in art. Since 2021, he has been developing a new creative line, in which, through Virtual Reality and Digital Art, he creates scenes in which humanoid viewers often appear.
His art is distinguished by an interesting look at the human condition, robotization and virtualization of the world. Many of his works refer to the aesthetics of the Internet and virtual realities. He often uses strong, neon, bright colors to emphasize this reference. His works also takes on a meta character, showing the connection between the physical and virtual world.
