robot in love by The Noise

by The Noise

An image vibrating with colors has a very interesting texture – this technique resembles a woodcut technique or a negative photo. Very strong colors together with the subject of the painting strongly refer to the aesthetics of the Internet. The subject of the painting is actually a robot in love. The artist emphasized his feelings through a strong, pink color. It seems as if the robot does indeed have the face of a person in love with someone. However, the question arises – can robots love? If so, who? Is it about another robot, or is it about a human? Looking at it longer, we will notice that the robot’s face is not dreamy, but has the hallmarks of madness. This is not normal love, but an obsession. The picture becomes a bit scary…

The topics typical for Fernandez, touching on robotism, Internet, and virtual reality, through a small picture, introduce us to a new sphere of reflection on our world – both physical and virtual, because, as we know, we participate in both.
