by Máté Varga
The artist’s great passion is to create new urban and industrial environments from elements borrowed from actual structures. Varga focuses primarily on how the elements associated with these spaces can be reused in a different way. This particular work was created thanks to the inspiration from oil rigs and the aforementioned industrial places. The artist re-combines fragments of similar structures – hangars, metal sheets, cables, satellite dishes, ladders – to create a completely new structure. Combined with a great selection of colors including pastel shades of red, blue and green, the work gives the effect of a truly beautiful industrial landscape. The colors are also close to the now popular retro synthwave culture referring to the 1980s.

3D artist / videographer
“The topic of fabricated realities, games and a Second Life is still a big inspiration when I create, combined with the urban environment around us, the growing, living cities and the fight with nature.” – Varga Máté
Freelance 3D artist, videographer. He studied Media Design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. He already knew in high school that he would be involved in the field of 3d design, which he indeed specializes in today. Apart from company projects and orders, he also creates digital art full of artistic concepts. Varga Máté values the latest digital technologies, explores them and uses them in his work – both in projects for companies and in his digital art works. He is a fan of games and VR technologies, which he also uses in his work.
His artistic projects mainly combine topics such as the future urban environment, science fiction and post-apo. He is particularly interested in the life of the city as a living organism that grows, dies, transforms and produces meanings. This combines with technological thought and creates a dialogue between the robotic and natural worlds. In his works, the story is told by solids – complex, fantastic buildings and robotic creatures.
